A mysterious something (chemical? bacterial? nanite infestation?) is about to be released into the underground habitat at a platinum mine on a remote company asteroid (“the Rock”). The crew is evacuated before the device triggers, but within the habitat the “stuff” dissolves everything made of rubber . . .
